What school supplies are best to donate?
Because we ship to Mexico, we need higher value/lighter weight items - colored markers and pens, scissors, and glue sticks are always in need.
Do you take donations of clothes?
Generally, we do not accept used clothing. The cost to ship is prohibitive. We do accept new coats, especially children's coats and we squeeze them in along with the shoes when possible.
What types of shoes are best to donate?
The shoe donations that are most useful meet the following criteria: 1) Gently used, no holes/tears and good soles, 2) No sizes greater that a women’s 8, or men’s 10. All kids shoes welcome! 3) Tennis shoes, work shoes and dress shoes are needed. 4) Kids soccer cleats are always in demand. 5) Nothing to impractical/high heels
What do you do with extra shoes?
If we receive shoes that don’t fit our program’s needs (too big, impractical, etc.) we donate them to Goodwill. If they are too used we dispose of them in the most earth friendly way that we can find.
